We often bewail over the natural process of aging. Aging really sucks, and there’s no denying it. But, when we look deeper into it, we find that our bodies are designed this way for a very good reason. The aging process is a vital part of human life, because it helps us prepare for the inevitable — the end.
In order to know the truth, we must keep ourselves close to the truth wherever we find it. And there is no bigger truth than our eventual end. Aging is a process that helps us keep this reality in check.
Everyday, aging subtly reminds us that this day, this moment, this identity, these relationships, and practically everything that we know to be true, is a part of this world —a world that we are temporarily experiencing.
While there are countless pleasures keeping us attached to life, aging is the one thing that’s doing the reverse. It is helping us detach from life so that when it’s time to go, we can go willingly. When looked at through this lens, we discover that aging is actually a blessing in disguise.
